In Uganda, gorilla trekking permits are obtainable at $800 for foreign nonresidents, $700 for foreign residents and shs 300,000 for East African residents.

In Rwanda, permits are sold at $1500 per person and in the Democratic Republic of Congo they can be purchased at $400 but it is the least visited area amongst all the three destinations since it is still recovering from insecurity. Trek mountain gorillas in any of the 5 sectors

Gorilla trekking starts with early morning briefing at 7:00am and the actual trek begins at 8:00am in your respective sectors. There are four main sectors in Bwindi National Park and they include Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Ruhija sector.

During the briefing, visitors are only assigned to one habituated group in groups of eight people per day. Trekking mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park has been eased with the modern technology.
