5 days Kidepo wildlife is one of the most exceptional Uganda safari packages, and it is uniquely designed to allow you to explore and experience Kidepo Valley National Park, the true African wilderness. Located in far Northeastern Uganda, close to the South Sudan border, Kidepo is home to a diversity of wildlife. This special 4 nights and 5 days Uganda tour to Kidepo National Park lets you explore the big game, birds, and other small mammals. It also incorporates a hike to the triple Sipi falls, Kapchorwa District, Eastern Uganda.

Kidepo National Park covers 1442sq.km of land area, and it hosts animal species such as lions, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, striped hyenas, warthogs, zebras, and giraffes. Birds won’t be missed on game viewing and expect to identify ostriches, secretary birds, Karamoja Apalis, kori bustard, and more. Your trip to Kidepo begins and ends in Kampala capital, Uganda.

Detailed Itinerary – 5 Days Kidepo Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Sipi Falls hike

Wake up early, and be provided with breakfast in the morning while at your lodge in Kampala. After, meet your driver guide for a briefing about this special Kidepo wildlife tour in Uganda expected to go for 5 days. Begin your 4-5 hours drive journey through the Kampala-Jinja-Mbale route to Sipi Falls. En route, a stop visit can be made at Ssezibwa or Mabira Forest. After, proceed to the Sipi Falls which is found in the Eastern region of Uganda just at the foothills of Mount Elgon, Kapchorwa district.

You will be exploring the 3 waterfalls that make up the scenic Sipi Falls. The Sipi Falls is located in the 3 altitudinal ranges including 75m, 100m, and 85m. Upon early arrival, you will undertake a hike to visit these triple waterfalls and later, settle for dinner and overnight sleep at your preferred lodge.

Day 2: Coffee tour experience & Kidepo

Enjoyable breakfast early in the morning, after, set off for a morning coffee tour. This offers typical farm tours in Uganda, Africa. Visit the extensive coffee farms in the Bugisu region, and explore the different stages of coffee production from the very stage of planting till it is ready for consumption. Leave the coffee plantation for Kidepo National Park, home to cheetahs.

Day 3: Full-day game drive- Kidepo

Early in the morning, begin your full day to explore Kidepo Valley N/Park and its huge profusion of wildlife. The park is a rich in wildlife and bird species, during your game drive, you enjoy sight of diverse wildlife including lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, cheetahs, buffaloes, etc. You may go with packed lunch, and settle for a picnic lunch or return to the lodge for lunch and proceed for a game drive in the afternoon. Being the long day, you will be exploring the Narus River area where most wildlife species gather to see different species as they gather to drink water.

Day 4: Game drive & Karamojong community visit

Rise up early for breakfast, and after, head to the savanna wilderness of Kidepo for a game drive in the morning. View more wildlife that your eyes missed the previous, take pictures, and return afterward to relax at the lodge. In the afternoon/evening, you will consider visiting the Karamojong people in their local communities. The Karamojong are known for their ancient ways of life, unique traditions and cultures, and more.
