Nyege Nyege 2022 Uganda: Nyege Nyege is considerably one of the biggest and most remarkable adventure music festivals in Africa. It has been long when this incredible event took place as it was affected by lockdown. The Nyege Nyege festival now returns after about 2 years of covid-19 lockdown.

The 2022 Nyege Nyege festival will run from 15 to 18th September. The event will take place at Itanda Falls. This was confirmed by co-founder of the festival – Derek Debru who added that this year’s celebration will be historic and it comes with fresh experiences.

Unlike the previous celebrations, the 2022 Nyege Nyege will be held at Itanda Falls, the new site. The 2022 edition is expected to attract over 300 artists worldwide who will be showcasing their unique cultures and music. The venue was changed considering its small size.

Due to passion, love, resilience for music, Nyege Nyege festival was founded. It is with no that the event has kept shining strongly since its launch. With change in the venue, the founders are confident that the revelers will have not only ultimate comfort but the best of 2022 festival.

Besides, it also showcases Itanda Falls, one of the unique attractions or destinations in East Africa. Different crafts, foods and storytelling will be part of the 2022 Nyege Nyege Festival.

Itanda Falls is a unique attraction in Jinja, Eastern Uganda. It features 6 whitewater rafting grades. It is the best place for Kayakers or rafters to experience the Source of the Nile on Uganda safari. This waterfall was visited by Prince William of Great Britain. It is one of the natural wonders in Uganda worth visiting.

The Itanda Falls feature steep cascade roaring waterfall located on the Nile River. This is the longest river in the world and its source is said to be right in Uganda. There are also scenic islands right in the River Nile making it an incredible photography spot in Uganda. Visiting Itanda in addition to Nyege Nyege festival is a remarkable thing any nature lover can do.

Getting there by road transportation: The Itanda Falls is found 27kms away from Jinja town, 45 minutes drive away. Itanda is picturesque, unspoiled offering tourists authentic experience.
