UGANDA AIRLINES PUBLICIZES FLIGHT SCHEDULES AND DISCOUNTED AIRFARES AHEAD OF MAIDEN FLIGHT

Uganda airlines after more than a decade of being non-operational have finally been revived with flight schedules and discounted airfares being announced ahead of its maiden flights to at least 7 African destinations.
The recently revived Uganda airlines are scheduled to hit the sky of 7 regional destinations after more than 16 years of ceasing operations. Each of the two newly acquired CRJ900 planes features two classes-12 Business seats as well as 62 economy seats in addition to wider gallery space for fantastic inflight service, overhead baggage space, more legroom, and more cabin space.
The first 7 regional destinations to be targeted by the Uganda airlines are Mogadishu (Somalia), Mombasa and Nairobi (Kenya), Dar es Salam and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Juba (South Sudan) and finally Bujumbura (Burundi). It began its first commercial flight on 27th August 2019 to Kenya’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

If you have ever traveled to the mentioned destinations from Uganda, you will agree that Uganda airlines fares are cheaper compared to other airlines. According to the announcement by airline officials, the launched promotional prices will run for a few months (2 months to be precise).
A return ticket to Nairobi is expected to cost only $278 (approximately Shs 1 million). This fare is slightly lower than the one charged by Kenya Airways and Rwandair which is at $350 and $330 respectively.
A flight from Entebbe International Airport to Juba and back is only $225 (about Shs 830,000). A flight to Kilimanjaro is about $311 and $325 for Mombasa.
A return flight to Mogadishu in Somalia costs about $590 while to Bujumbura is $292 and $286 for Dar es Salaam. All the mentioned flights are inclusive of taxes and the most interesting thing about these fares is that they can be paid in either Uganda shillings or US dollars.

Flights to Juba and Nairobi will be operated twice daily.
Passengers planning to fly the Crane to Kenya’s Mombasa as well as Burundi’s Bujumbura can take advantage of the three times a week flights while three times daily to Mogadishu.
The CRJ 900 aircraft will also fly to Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam once a day.
