The 3 days Kibale chimpanzee habituation is a special primate tour package that offers you half/full day to explore in depth about chimpanzees -their behaviors and taking pictures. The prime destination to visit to enjoy a guided chimpanzee habituation experience will be Kibale National Park, the renowned primate capital of the world, home to 13 species of primates.

Over 1500 chimpanzees make up on the list of about 70 mammals that reside in Kibale Forest. Day 1: Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee habituation tour

Exit Entebbe or Kampala for about 5-6 hours’ drive trip in a comfortable 4×4 tourist vehicle. En route, your interactive guide will explain every bit of the unique attractions and history of towns. You will be driven via the Mityana-Mubende-Fort Portal route with lunch to be served at Fort Portal and you make your final stop at Kibale National Park. At Fort Portal, there are available options for you including visiting Amabere caves or Toro palace (optional).

Day 2: Full-day chimpanzee habituation

Leave early in the morning for a briefing about chimpanzee habituation at the Kanyanchu visitor center. At exactly 6:00 am, the actual chimpanzee habituation adventure will begin with an experienced guide leading you through the long day’s search for chimpanzee habituation. Today, you will have a picnic lunch in the jungles and enough time to take pictures of chimpanzees. After, return to the lodge to have a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure

Enjoy a hefty breakfast in the morning, after, set off for Kampala or Entebbe, or first go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. At Bigodi, you will be exposed to several primates like vervet monkeys, baboons, blue monkeys, red colobus monkeys, and other mammals, birds especially the Great blue turacos.
