Detailed Itinerary 6 Days Uganda Safari

Day1: Transfer from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our guide the travel then get through Kampala. You will pass through the scenic beautiful steep sided valleys to Kigezi highlands- the Switzerland of Africa. You will arrive at Bunyonyi late in the evening.

Day 2:Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Go for an early morning boat trip on the lake and visit. You will have time to partake in a morning boat trip on the lake to visit some of the many islands with their attached legends. Take a walk through villages .In the afternoon, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Up early in the morning, you will be required to head to a ranger station. Here you will be allocated a guide to before heading into the impenetrable forest, who will help you clear the way and lead you safely through the forest. You will walk to find these endangered apes. This activity will take you a whole day. You will be required to carry walking boots, waterproof trainers and socks, long pants and a light, long sleeved shirt.

Day 4: Transfer from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Lake Mburo National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will depart Bwindi for Lake Mburo National park, arriving in the afternoon. It is a small gem of park with exciting and rolling hills and supports a rich diversity of habitat. The lake supports quiet a good number of crocodile, hippos, and otter. On the borders of the lake shore there are warthog, buffalos, topi, water buck, eland, and bush pig reside. The park is also a home of over 315 bird species including the African fish eagle, Maribou stork and pied kingfisher.

Day 5: Transfer from Lake Mburo to Kampala

Today, you will have an early morning game drive with Lake Mburo National park. Expect to see large herds of Zebras, topis, gigantic eland. Return to the lodge for breakfast then later drive back to Kampala for Dinner at Overnight Stay.

Day 6: Entebbe to Ngamba Island

After a relaxed breakfast at your hotel in Kampala, you will take a half day boat trip 23km out on Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to over 40 orphaned and rehabilitated chimpanzees. You will be able to watch the chimps as they come in to the feed, play and relax. You will then be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your International flight.
