Discounted Gorilla Permits in Uganda

Uganda’s tourism industry experiences a low season during the months of April, May and November and during this period, the Uganda Wildlife Authority in conjunction with Association of Uganda Trip operatives have continued to offer discounts on gorilla permits.

When you purchase these discounted permits, you will be able to save US dollars 250 per permit as they are sold at US dollars 350 to US dollars through the high season and the accommodation rates also go down.

We propose that Rwanda should also do the same as her gorilla permits were increased from US dollars 500 to US dollars 750. Uganda’s tourism sector has been sighted by the president of Uganda as a sector that will drive the country out of poverty and with this discount on gorilla permits especially during the low seasons will not only increase tourist’s inflow but also increase on tourist earnings and awareness for the better mate of the sector.

Visitors/ tourists to Uganda have been advised to purchase discounted gorilla permits during the months of November though some urge out that during this time, it is a rainy season and this making gorilla tracking a bit hard.

It should be noted however that Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where gorilla tracking is carried out is located high on the altitude area with tropical rainforest, therefore this makes its climate be influenced by a number of factors including winds from Congo.

How to get the reduced gorilla license?

How to pay for a discounted Gorilla permit?

After the availability of gorilla licenses and your dates of traveling have been decided by you, our accounts division will send you an invoice indicating our bank validation details and the shift code which will enable you make payments.

You should however note that a full payment of gorilla permits is required and at least 20 percent deposit will also needed to confirm your safari and the balance can be paid 5 weeks to your safari. This initial deposit helps us in our transportation to Uganda Wildlife Authority; make deposit on accommodation and any other bookings.

When do you know that your permit is ready?

The moment your payments are made by depositing money on our bank account, one of our office staff will be in position to check for the availability and position of the gorilla permits at Uganda Wildlife Authority for your preferred dates of trekking then after our driver will go to Uganda Wildlife Authority with all your passport details, then the moment the permit is issued, we will scan it and send you a copy.
