UWA boss Sseguya smocked out – Uganda Safari News
Following the recommendations by the board of trustees of the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA),the executive director Dr. Andrew Sseguya was suspended from office till further noticeby the minister of Tourism, Hon. Maria Mutagamba.The reason for his suspension was the lost Ivory which the organization had confiscated from the smugglers and kept in the stores of UWA. According to the investigations carried out,Ssseguya is said to be involved in the act of stealing the ivory estimated to weigh 1,335kg and valued at UShs.3 billions.
Other members suspended include;-
- Moses Sikuku- head ranger
- Louise Muhumuza – Intelligence office
- John Lopeyo – Clerk to the armoury
- William Echenyi – Intelligence officer
