Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Entebbe airport to Kidepo

Take a domestic flight in the morning from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) up to Kidepo Airport/airfield. Arrive early and you will be transferred to your respective wilderness safari lodges for relaxation. Later, join the rest of the visitors for late afternoon game drive through Kidepo Valley NP with an experienced guide.

Day 2: Full day Kidepo Game drive safari

Set off from your camp or lodge after breakfast and have full day exploration of Kidepo wildlife. Today, we take the Narus Valley for both morning and afternoon game drive. The likely sightings for the day will range from the Rothschild giraffes, zebras, elephants, buffaloes, birds to myriad of antelope families as well as several big cats. Retreat from the search for Kidepo game and settle for lunch, then return for afternoon session till evening when you will get back for dinner, relaxation and a night stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive & visit the hot springs

A delicious breakfast will be served early morning and you start your wildlife expedition. This will help you catch up with early risers along Narus Valley. In the afternoon, you have a tasty lunch and return for your expedition to explore the hot springs. As you drive, there is a chance to come across ostriches.

Day 4: IK & Karamojong cultural experiences

Begin the day with a cup of tea or coffee and fit enough, embark on a hike to IK community on Mount Morungole 2750m. Have incredible moment interacting with the mountain people whose population stands between 10,000 and 15,000. After, begin descending and continue to the lodge for relaxation. Late in the afternoon, you will take a walk to nearby Karamojong homestead (Manyatta) to explore the different cultures, traditions and practices of the Karamojong people.

Day 5: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park

By air; begin your flight from Kidepo airfield to Murchison Falls National Park. Get there early and you will connect to your lodge for relaxation while spotting some of the species of mammals as they roam around.

Day 6: Explore Murchison Falls game

After breakfast, set off for a morning game drive navigating through the Northern circuit. Varied species of wildlife will be spotted as they begin their day including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and on a lucky day, catch up with leopards. Enjoy a delicious lunch at your safari lodge, get refreshments and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Victoria Nile as you head up to the base of the falls. As you cruise through the Nile waters, keep eyes on hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic bird species. At the base, you may proceed with a hike to the top of Murchison Falls in case the water levels are low.

Day 7: Morning delta cruise & afternoon game drive
