The route from the City of Kigali to the spectacular Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwestern part of Uganda is about 3-4 hours long and involves crossing the border at Katuna or Cyanika. Arrive at the Park Headquarters by 7:00 am latest, as it is the time to depart on the briefing before gorilla treks are conducted. The briefing and allocation into gorilla groups last 30-45 minutes and the actual trek begins by 8:00 am.
