Detailed Trip Itinerary – 10 Days Fly-in Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. In case you do not have an entry permit, you will be required to obtain a visa at Entebbe International Airport. Then after you will be transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Most of these accommodation facilities are situated in the outskirts of Entebbe and only a few minutes from Entebbe International Airport. They are decorated along African themes and have their own private bathroom. You will participate in leading tourism activities in Uganda’s national parks including game drives, and chimpanzee tracking.

Day 2: Fly from Entebbe to Murchison falls national park
Today, you will have an early drop-off at Entebbe International Airport for a domestic flight to Murchison falls, one of the most beautiful protected areas in Uganda. The scheduled plane departs the airport at 08.30 hr and the expected arrival time is 10.10 hours at Pakuba Airstrip. Then from here, you will be transferred through the park to your accommodation for check in. Have a relaxed lunch from the terrace with magnificent views of the river Nile before going for a game drive which is the initiation to Uganda’s flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
After early morning breakfast, you will go for a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. This will give you chances of seeing giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. In the afternoon, you will continue with your with a boat cruise on the river Nile for game viewing at close quarters. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Fly from Murchison Falls National Park – Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge before being transferred back to Pakuba Airstrip. The scheduled plane departs the airstrip at 10.30 hour on a scheduled flight back to Entebbe. From here, it directly continues towards the western part of the country, arriving at 14.35 hour at Kasese Airstrip. On arrival, you will be welcomed by Maranatha Tours and Travel representative who will lead you to your accommodation facility. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp
Kibale Forest National park is sound of having the greatest variety and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. You will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rain forest in search of the chimpanzees, black-and-white Colobus monkey, red-tailed monkey, and many others. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the Bigodi Swamp famous for the many species of birds and primates. You will go through the local community. Dinner and overnight at Primate Lodge Kibale.

Day 6: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have a relaxed breakfast at the lodge and peacefully drive towards the south passing through the crater lakes area, a beautiful landscape with small lakes and rolling hills. Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a game drive upon arrival. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. Dinner and Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Begin the day with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. Expect to see elephants, lions, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. You will sight abundant birdlife along the Kazinga channel including; buffaloes, elephants, and hundreds of hippos that are chilling off at the shores. It will be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Forest National Park
Have a restful breakfast at the lodge then transfer to Kasese Airstrip. The scheduled flight departs Kasese airstrip at 10.05 hours and takes about 30 minutes to Kihihi Airstrip. From here you will be transferred by road (1 hour) to the home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check-in at the lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to relax and prepare yourself for the next day. You will participate in a guided forest walk for the first introduction to Uganda’s unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs.
Day 9: Gorilla tracking
This is the most interesting part of your safari. You will be expected to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions before encountering any gorillas in the wilderness. Be assured, it will be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play, and rest. This experience is very unique and unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs.
Day 10: Bwindi National park- Entebbe –Departure
Enjoy the final moments of Bwindi Impenetrable forest than be transferred to Kihihi Airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. You might have an opportunity to depart at 10:55 hour or take the second flight of 14:05 hours, arriving at Entebbe International Airport at 11: 55 hours and 15:55 respectively.
