More than 95 mammal species including schools of hippos, the pride of lions, herds of elephants, buffaloes, elands, and Uganda kobs as well as over 600 bird species call the Queen Elizabeth National Park home. The rare tree-climbing lions of Ishasha can only be found in this 1978 square kilometer National Park. While here, you will visit Crater Lakes, the home to several migratory bird species as well as the Kyambura gorge, a haven to an isolated chimpanzee community.

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Meet and greet our driver/guide then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park with the first stop being the Uganda Equator to take photos then Mbarara for lunch before continuing to the Park. You head to the Safari Lodge on arrival then visit the Katwe Salt mine and tour around the different Crater Lakes to spot the migratory bird species. The meal plan is lunch and dinner while overnight will be at Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury), Enganzi Game Lodge (midrange) or Kazinga Channel View Resort (budget).
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, there will be a game drive within the Kasenyi Plains and the magnificent Mweya Peninsular where numerous wildlife species including warthogs, elands, Lions, leopards, hyenas, and buffaloes will be spotted. After 2-3 hours of the game drive, return to the Lodge for lunch and relaxation.
You will then have to continue for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where an array of aquatic birds species including pelicans, African fish eagles and Kingfishers will be spotted. Also, elephants and buffaloes will be sighted at the banks of the Channel as well as hippos and crocodiles in the water. The meal plan is full board while overnight and dinner will be at Mweya Safari Lodge (luxury), Enganzi Game Lodge (midrange) or Kazinga Channel View Resort (budget).
Day 3: Tracking the Kyambura chimpanzees and Departure
Have breakfast and head to the Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking to encounter the isolated community of these chimpanzees in addition to the black and white colobus monkeys and olive baboons among others. Continue to Kampala through the verdant Maramagambo Forest, have lunch in Mbarara Town and arrive in the evening. The meal plan is breakfast and lunch while dinner and overnight will be at your Hotel (in Kampala or Entebbe).
