12 Day Uganda and Rwanda safari, you will go gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. You will also go for a game drive and launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Other activities to be enjoyed include;- chimpanzee trekking, Dian Fossey hike, and golden monkey tracking.
Detailed Itinerary: 12 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
On this day, you will arrive at the Entebbe international airport. You will be met by our well-trained guide and the driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala, Uganda’s capital city.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park. The journey is interesting as you get to get breathtaking views of Uganda’s beauty full of natural wonders. Reach in the evening and check in to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of tea before being briefed by well-trained guides. After a short brief, you will go for an adventurous chimpanzee trekking in the Forest of Kibale National Park. While trekking the apes, you may encounter other primates like the colobus monkeys, baboons, and others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park. This park is well known for harboring different wild animals and a game drive through it is a life-changing experience.
Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park
After a morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive and on this drive, you will have a chance to view different wild animals like; – lions, buffaloes, elephants, Ugandan kobs and many more.
Return later in the afternoon for lunch at the lodge and rest before going for an evening launch cruise on the Kazinga channel. Return the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park for gorilla trekking. This takes 6 to 7 hours and you will reach in the evening, therefore, you will have a lunch stopover .check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi
After your morning breakfast, you will be briefed before going for the biggest event of gorilla trekking in the thick forests of Bwindi. The trek takes 20minutes to three-quarters of the day and therefore you will go with your packed lunch. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 8: Transfer to Volcanoes national park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. This journey is quite long and therefore you will reach in the evening. Check in your lodge at the park for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After your breakfast, you will go for gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park. Have a thrilling experience in the forest with the gorillas and take some photos with them. You will go with your packed lunch since the trek may take three-quarters of the day. Return the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Golden monkey tracking
After breakfast, you will go for a thrilling experience of golden monkey trekking in Volcanoes National park. This is a lifetime experience as you get to meet these hard to find primates. Return the lodge and rest while having a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills.
Day 11: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, you will have a scenic transfer to Lake Kivu. You will have lunch at the lodge before going for an evening boat ride on Lake Kivu. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 12.Transfer to Kigali and Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali. You will be driven to the airport and you will depart back to your home country. This will be the end of our 12 days Uganda and Rwanda safari.
